If you know me you know that nothing makes me happier than kids enjoying and creating art. So you can only imagine my reaction when this little gem appeared in my inbox. A good friend, and star 2nd grader K. Kelly created this piece at school that was so well received that it appeared in a VERY special exhibition! Also, who doesn’t love images of Autumn rendered in crayon?

…and a smile. A friend of mine from my Disney days posted this on FB tonight. Her 9-year old son is tearin’ it up with a paintbrush these days. I’m inspired for two reasons. It’s really a fantastic creation. But also…there’s not much out there more inspiring than a kid who is serious about art. Lovely. Keep up the good work, G!
