How to Host a Wine Tasting Party, published by Race Point Publishing, is the next lesson in your wine education. The kit, written by Dan Amaztuzzi, is went beyond book design. This kit includes a hinged, cigar box-style case; and 80-page book; wine-tasting notepads, a wine arome wheel, a wine and cheese wheel, and bottle tags to identify wines in a blind taste test. A true labor of love (and not just for the love of wine), the design and art direction for this project was intensive and so much fun! From the digital weathering of the wooden backgrounds to the ornate graphical flourishes throughout, it's always a delightful challenge to design around the place where rustic and formal meet.
